Family and presents made up in Christmas this year. Santa brought gifts
for Ava and Harlow. Must have been nice this year!

A holiday tradition is born! Homemade cookies and Rice Krispy treats will be a Jacobs’ tradition. All the girls joined in on the yummy festivities!

Salt Lake Grandpa made a visit to Chicago for Christmas. This was his first meeting with Harlow.
We celebrated the holidays at Sherry and Nik’s house this year.

We travelled to Michigan Ave with both kids in tow. Ava had a ball looking at the moving windows and Harlow slept in the Ergo the entire time.

Halloween is a few days away and Ava is already in the Halloween spirit. She went to Julia and Justine’s 3rd birthday costume party last weekend. Today she decorated her pumpkin and tomorrow she is headed to Trunk or Treat in Park Ridge.

Harlow Christine Jacobs came into this world on Oct. 5, 2014 weighing 7.4 lbs and 20 inches long.

Ava was sweet, happy and very curious when she met her new sister at the hospital.

My heart sank when she came into the room and yelled mommy and ran over! I hadn’t seen her in 2 days!

We are a family of four now!!

We have had such amazing fall weather. It’s been in the 70’s for the past five days and we are taking advantage of it. We spent the latter part of the afternoon at the Botanic Gardens. We saw plenty of flowers, plants, veggies and fruit. The colors of fall are breathless!

It’s pumpkin time! We took a drive out to Didier Farms and picked out our pumpkins for the season. It was a cool day and felt like autumn. Ava rode rides and the ponies twice. We enjoyed apple donut holes and added to our memories. Next year we’ll be picking pumpkins with Harlow!

It’s that time of year! Apple picking! We went to this orchard last year and it was fweeezing! This year it was a perfect day. Ava had more fun with the animals than with the actual picking of apples. We enjoyed apples, apple donuts and the animals. Next year, we’ll have Harlow with us!

It’s been cold and wet all day. We made the most of it by getting creative!

Another fun family Sunday! We headed to the arboretum and picked the perfect day. Ava loved the children’s play space and enjoyed a cookie in the cafe.

Labor Day Weekend! We made our way to the Last Fling in Naperville. Pony ride, popcorn and roller coasters filled up Ava’s day!

We went back to our old place in St. John’s. William turned two and we were there to celebrate. Ava hung out with her old friends and had a blast. She spent quite a bit of time with Zoey and the bubbles.

We have making our way through the boxes and around town. Skokie has a lot to offer for families and kids. We have been to the pool and library, which are both really close. I’d say Ava has been adjusting and enjoying her new life as a suburbanite!

We’ve officially moved to Skokie! Ava’s house warming gift? A trampoline! The move went as smoothly as to be expected and the unpacking is underway.
Hoober seems to love it out here. The rest of us are getting use to the quiet, still neighborhood. The house is perfect for our needs right now!

Ava and I met Tracy and the girls for a day of carnival rides. All of the girls couldn’t get enough of the rides! Happy kids makes for a great day!

Ava held her second birthday party at the Kohl Children’s Museum in Glenview. Family and friends joined in wishing this loving, sweet angel a happy birthday.

We enjoyed pizza, salad, Mac and Cheese from Fatso’s and an Elmo cake from Lutz Bakery.

Elmo even stopped by to say hello!

On Ava’s actual birthday, we celebrated with a cupcake from Sweet Mandy B’s.

Happy 2nd Birthday to our little angel.  The last 2 years have been amazing and we look forward to the next 50.  We love you beyond words!
