We have a fun family day visiting grandma and then stopped by Lockdown to try the Bangers and a Rueben. Ava was started dancing when Iron Maiden came on.

Awesome Family Local Vacation
We took a local vacation to get out of the city and enjoy a indoor water park since this winter has been so brutal and is never-ending. We went to Keylime Cove in Gurnee for 2 nights and Ava had a blast. We enjoyed the water park and ran around the hotel plus we played lots of games and won lots of toys in the different crane games. Saturday afternoon we went to Jump America so Ava could jump on the trampolines. We had to break the rules since the jumping was for kids 3+ but we got away with it for about a half hour and Ava had a blast. Fun weekend and more great memories for the Jacobs Family….
Chicago History Museum
Ava and I are exploring all of the indoor places in Chicago. It’s been cold and snowy here for many months and we need to get out of the house and explore. Ava learned about Chicago’s history and saw many artifacts.
Fun End Of February

Our Little Actress
Ava loves copying what we do from coughing to rubbing our noses. She started copying Christine yawning and now she is our little actress and does a good job fake yawning when asked.
45 and Sunny
It’s happened…Chicago finally had pleasant weather today. We took full advantage. It has been a long, cold and wet winter. Come on Spring!
Family Day
Had a nice day that started with brunch at The Bongo Room followed by the Swedish Museum. We ended up the day with dinner with Grandpa at Scoozi. We all love Sundays.
Happy Valentine’s Day
We had a nice 2nd Valentine’s Day celebrating with our Angel. Last year was sushi at Sai Cafe and this year we went to Prasino at 5pm. It was a little fancier than expected but we had a nice time and Ava enjoyed checking out the fire place and people watching.
Teddy Bear’s Picnic
Today’s Valentine’s Day. Ava and I went to the Emerald City Theatre to watch the Teddy Bear’s Picnic. She went right up to the bear and kissed it! This one is it shy! She kept trying to interact with the bear, so I had to hold her back. She makes me laugh!
Juice Box Music
Ava and I jumped on the Blue Line train to the Chicago Cultural Center. They played live African music and had a dancer moving to the beats. The venue was breathe taking and the music was right up our alley!
Amy’s Birthday Weekend in Madison
We celebrated Amy’s 32nd birthday in Madison. We went to the Children’s Museum, dinner, brunch and hung out at the house. I think Hoober has the most fun!
Mr. Singer
Another frigid day in Chicago means more indoor fun! Our Wed. date with Francine was at Lincoln Park Zoo to watch Mr. Singer. Ava danced, tried stealing snacks from others and had an all around nice afternoon.
Hoober Getting Some Love
Hoober got some serious love tonight from his girls. Hoober and Ava continue to grow closer and momma continues to tolerate him a little more each day.
Fun Friend Friday
Ava had a fun day with friend. She started with a play date at Northbrook Court with Kennedy and Charlie. Friday night she got to hang with Raine and Gabe. Ava loves spending time with friends and always has plenty of hugs and kisses.
Free Concert at Whole Foods
Ava loves people and live music. Every Wed. and Thurs. Whole Foods offers a 30 minute live concert for kids. I don’t know if she loved the music or the kids more!
She went up to a few kids and tried to kiss them. So cute! She is very loving and sweet!
