What started as a simple family website turned into our digital scrapbook.
We're David, Christine, Ava and Harlow, the Chicago Jacobs. From Chicago to Houston to Colorado, and from weekend adventures to trips around the world, we've tried to capture as much of the journey as we can.
There are vacations, birthdays, hikes, basketball games, family videos, old photos, random funny moments and plenty of stories that probably would have been forgotten if we hadn't saved them here. The girls are growing up way too fast, so this site is our way of hitting the save button.
It started in 2012 as a place to keep memories: daily posts about the small stuff, bigger write-ups when we travel, photo albums for the milestones, and a film for most trips. The best way to start is the spinning globe: every pin is a place we've been, and each one opens the story from that trip.

Chicago roots
A city kid at the front window, watching the taxis go by. Chicago is where the story starts, and it is still the name on the door.
David and Christine
A trip to Paris, a question, and a yes. The first adventure of many.
Married in 2011
Barefoot on the beach with everyone we love. Then a Chicago party the week after, because one celebration was not enough.
Ava
The reason this site exists. The first posts were baby updates, and we never really stopped.
Harlow
Sister number two arrived just in time for Halloween. The pumpkin was bigger than she was.
Family adventures
Beaches, road trips and a lot of airport gates. Once there were four of us, the passports started filling up fast.
The Houston years
We landed in Houston the same month as Hurricane Harvey. Six years of rodeos, beach days, camping trips and Texas-sized summers followed.
Colorado
Back to the mountains for good. Hikes after school, ski days in the winter and a trailhead in every direction.
Today
Four people, one camera roll that never stops, and a family website that has somehow turned into the story of our lives.
A few chapters from our story
Not every picture is perfectly posed. Those are usually the good ones.
Someday Ava and Harlow will be grown, with families and adventures of their own. Hopefully they'll be able to come back here, click around, laugh at the old pictures and remember just how much fun we had getting there.
This is our story so far. And we're definitely not done.
