Christine Runs The 50 Miler
Christine did the 50 miler! We camped in the trailer at Brazos Bend, and Lundy, Mila and Audrey joined us for the big weekend.
Camping In The Trailer
We drove down on Friday and set up camp in the trailer. The girls snuggled up in the bunks watching a movie, and woke up bright and early in their pajamas, ready for race day.
Race Day
Christine was out on the trails before sunrise. Every time she came through the aid station she had the biggest smile on her face, and she even stopped to sit with the girls for a minute before heading back out. Lap after lap through the trees and along the lakes at Brazos Bend, she just kept going.
The Best Cheer Squad
The girls, Mila and Audrey made the most amazing signs: Go Mrs. Christine, Super Christine and Don’t Stop! They jumped and cheered every time the runners came by. In between laps we all piled into the trailer for cake and lots of giggles with Lundy and the girls.
50 Miles Done!
After dark, Christine came in with her running buddy, still smiling after 50 miles. The girls were so proud of their mom. 50 miles! We are in awe of you, Christine. Thank you to Lundy, Mila and Audrey for camping with us and cheering her on all day!
