Fun long holiday trip to SLC for Christmas and New Years with a quick trip LA for Disney and Santa Monica for the stairs and the pier. Snow, skiing, hot springs, matching Christmas jammies and Disneyland all in one trip. One for the books!
Christmas in Salt Lake City
Snow Days in Salt Lake
Fresh snow as soon as we landed. The girls bundled up for walks in the snow and then I pulled them all over the trail in their snow tubes.
Getting Ready for Christmas
Matching stockings, cozy couch time and lots of giggles with Grandma and Grandpa while we got ready for Christmas.
Christmas Eve & Christmas Morning
Matching striped jammies, a visit with Santa, and a living room covered in wrapping paper. The girls tore through their presents and played with their new toys all day long.
Snow Tubing
Christmas Day snow tubing in a full on snowstorm. Ava pulled her own tube up the hill like a champ and Harlow rode along in style.
Hot Springs & In-N-Out
Soaking in the steaming hot springs with snow all around us, then paper hats and burgers at In-N-Out on the way home.
Aquarium & Winter Hikes
A morning at the aquarium checking out the fish and sharks, then piggyback rides and a snowy hike with mountain views.
Hitting the Slopes
Ski days with Ava! Lift rides with Daddy, ski school, and Ava making her way down the bunny hill in her pink jacket. Christine and I got some runs in too.
New Year’s Eve with Family
Ringing in the new year with Grandma and Grandpa. Party hats, noisemakers, a big family dinner and two very wound up little girls.
Los Angeles & Disneyland
Santa Monica Pier & Beach
A quick hop to LA. We played in the sand at Santa Monica beach and rode the rides on the pier.
Solstice Canyon & the Santa Monica Stairs
Hiking Solstice Canyon in Malibu with the girls in the carriers, then climbing the famous Santa Monica stairs and some tree climbing in the park.
Disneyland
The happiest place on earth! Sleeping Beauty Castle all decked out for the holidays, Dumbo, the carousel, face paint, balloon animals and It’s a Small World all lit up at night.
Back in Salt Lake
Back in Salt Lake for one more big family dinner with cake before heading home to Chicago.
