Big Fun With Uncle George and Pearl Jam
Big fun with Uncle George and Pearl Jam—an awesome combo. Great music, great company, and the kind of night you talk about for a long time. So glad we got to do it together.
We had a great visit to Florida and stayed at the Hard Rock to spend time with Uncle George and see Pearl Jam. The kids enjoyed the pool, lots of good food and a trip to the Everglades to ride an airboat.
Great Uncle George made this whole trip so special. He is always so generous with his time and his heart, and the girls light up every time they are with him. Thank you, Uncle George, for another amazing Florida visit full of memories we will never forget!
Checking In At The Hard Rock
We stayed at the Seminole Hard Rock, home of the famous Guitar Hotel. The girls posed with Uncle George in front of the Pearl Jam memorabilia display (guitars, drums and tour posters) to get us pumped up for the show, and the view of the pools from our room was unreal.
Airboat Ride In The Everglades
One of the big highlights was an airboat ride through the Everglades. We put on our ear protection and flew across the water and through the sawgrass. Our guide pulled a baby alligator right out of the water to show the girls, and we spotted a big gator swimming right next to the boat. So cool!
Treats And Dinner With Uncle George
Lots of good food on this trip! The girls loved their super cheesy corn dogs, and we had a fun family dinner with Uncle George.
Paddleboarding At The Guitar Hotel
The lagoon in front of the Guitar Hotel was crystal blue. The girls took turns on the paddleboard and cruising around in the floating boat with that giant guitar towering over us.
Cabana And Pool Day
We got a cabana by the pool and spent a lazy day with Uncle George swimming, lounging and snacking. I turned into a human jungle gym for the girls and snuck in a cigar and a drink by the pool. Pretty perfect day.
Pearl Jam!
And then the main event! Christine, Uncle George and I saw Pearl Jam at the Hard Rock and it was incredible. Eddie Vedder sounded amazing, and the acoustic songs gave us goosebumps. The kind of night you talk about for a long time.
One Last Breakfast
We wrapped up the trip with breakfast with Uncle George before heading to the airport. One very tired girl was asleep before we even got out of the parking lot. We love you, Uncle George, and can’t wait for the next one!
