Ava’s 14th Birthday in San Diego

To celebrate Ava turning 14, we spent four amazing days in San Diego making memories together. Harlow was off having her own adventure in Steamboat with her best friend, so this trip was all about Ava.

We kicked things off at the San Diego Zoo, followed by an unforgettable day at the Safari Park, and wrapped up the adventure with a fun-filled day at LEGOLAND. Along the way, we were lucky to have family and friends join us—Emily and Jack for the entire trip, Amy at the zoo, and Bryce for our LEGOLAND day.

One of the coolest experiences was visiting the Del Mar Racetrack, where my friend Mark gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the horses and even let us feed them carrots after the races. We also spent time in beautiful La Jolla watching the seals, enjoyed an incredible Italian dinner, some fantastic Korean BBQ, and even caught a fun bike tuk-tuk ride along the San Diego waterfront.

Happy 14th Birthday, Ava! Watching you grow into such an amazing young woman is the greatest adventure of them all. ❤️
