Just me and the girls on this one, and it turned into one of my favorite hikes of the year. We climbed up to an alpine lake ringed with golden aspens, hiking poles in hand and hats pulled low against the sun. Watching them scramble over rocks and strike goofy poses for photos made the whole thing.
