We have had such amazing fall weather. It’s been in the 70’s for the past five days and we are taking advantage of it. We spent the latter part of the afternoon at the Botanic Gardens. We saw plenty of flowers, plants, veggies and fruit. The colors of fall are breathless!
Back to Our Roots
We’ve officially moved to Skokie! Ava’s house warming gift? A trampoline! The move went as smoothly as to be expected and the unpacking is underway.
Hoober seems to love it out here. The rest of us are getting use to the quiet, still neighborhood. The house is perfect for our needs right now!
Ava and Hoober like to wait for Dave to come home at the door together.
Ava Turns 2!
Ava held her second birthday party at the Kohl Children’s Museum in Glenview. Family and friends joined in wishing this loving, sweet angel a happy birthday.
We enjoyed pizza, salad, Mac and Cheese from Fatso’s and an Elmo cake from Lutz Bakery.
Elmo even stopped by to say hello!
On Ava’s actual birthday, we celebrated with a cupcake from Sweet Mandy B’s.
Blueberry Picking in Michigan City, IN
We kept the Jacobs’ tradition going with this last outing. We went to Billy Boy’s Blueberry Farm and picked blueberries. Dave’s grandparents took him here as a kid and now Ava’s parents and grandma took her.
I have a new appreciation for blueberries! It’s a lot of work filling a bucket full with the little berries!
We continued a trip down memory lane with Dave by having lunch at the Tree House.
Ava the Sous Chef
Ava helped me make dinner tonight! Im looking forward to baking with her too!
Elmo Bouncy House
Ava’s face lit up when she saw the Elmo bouncy house in the courtyard. She kept yelling “Ellllmo!” It was our neighbor, Olivia’s second birthday party. Ava bounced for over two hours, played in the water table and ran around with her friends.
The evening was topped off with an appearance by Elmo! Ava was scared and excited!
