Hanukkah & Christmas Time

Hanukkah & Christmas time! 🕎🎄 This time of year is my favorite kind of chaos: menorah candles glowing on one side of the room and the tree lit up on the other.

The fun started early. Our Elf on the Shelf showed up with a dad joke (gotta love it), and we bundled up to walk through a dazzling holiday lights display, with glowing arches, sparkly trees and a cozy snowflake photo booth.

At home the girls lit the menorah and opened their Hanukkah presents, and my mother-in-law’s brisket disappeared in about ten minutes flat. Then, in matching red holiday sweaters, they decorated gingerbread houses with more frosting on their fingers than on the roof. Somewhere between the dreidel spins and the wrapping paper explosion, I just stood back and soaked it in. ❤️
