No holiday season is complete without decorating gingerbread houses. We laid out a rainbow of candy by the twinkling Christmas tree, and the girls got straight to work piping icing and pressing on every sweet they could find. Their finished houses turned out beautifully, roofs heavy with gumdrops and snowy frosting. A sticky, joyful afternoon and a favorite tradition.
