Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands

We just returned from an incredible adventure in Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands, and it’s a trip we’ll never forget. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special — the landscapes, the culture, and especially the people.

We spent time exploring Quito and Baños, with unforgettable day trips to Cotopaxi and other stunning places across the mainland. Every stop offered something different: dramatic volcano views, lush mountains, charming towns, and a pace of life that instantly made us slow down and appreciate the moment.

The people and culture were truly amazing, and the food was fantastic everywhere we went. Every meal felt like part of the experience, whether it was something simple from a local spot or a traditional dish we’d never tried before.

Christine, the girls, and I had an amazing time together — laughing, exploring, and creating memories we’ll talk about for years. But without a doubt, the highlight of the trip was the wildlife. Seeing animals up close in their natural habitat, especially in the Galápagos, was surreal and unforgettable. It felt like stepping into a nature documentary, only better because we were experiencing it as a family.

This trip reminded us how big and beautiful the world is — and how special it is to experience it together.
