We went looking for Easter eggs a second time this weekend. Dave, Ava and I went Mary Bartelme Park and found eggs and played a few carnival games. A beautiful sunny Saturday!

Dave and I blinked and Ava turned into a big girl! She thinks and acts like a toddler.
We gave her a regular cup (training cup) for a little practice. She did very well and loves to drink out of it.

I’m in love with Ava’a feet! They’re soft and oh so cute!
She loves to fall asleep with one leg up on me or Dave.

We had sunshine and 60’s here today. This was a temporary relief from this long, cold winter. Ava and I spent the entire day outside. We went to Old Orchard’s playground and spent the rest of the day in the deck or in the courtyard. Summer is going to be amazing!

Sunday family fun day was held at the Shedd this past weekend. Dave and I enjoy seeing Ava run to the tanks and point at the sea creatures. She loved the creatures as much as the gift shop!It was just warm enough to snap a family photo by the lake.

Anyone that knows Ava’s Dada knows that sushi is my favorite food in the world.  I could eat it every day forever without ever getting bored.  Nothing makes me more happy and proud than seeing my little doll face eat some sushi on her own.  Just a cucumber roll but it is a good start.

We started the day with brunch at 11 City Deli followed by heading over to the Museum Of Science And Industry and ended the day with dinner at Water Tower Place.

We can’t wait for spring to arrive after a very long brutal winter. Here a couple random pictures from the last couple days. My favorite is Ava’s bed head from her nap.

We have a fun family day visiting grandma and then stopped by Lockdown to try the Bangers and a Rueben. Ava was started dancing when Iron Maiden came on.

Christine and Ava Battled the parade traffic to enjoy some time at Navy Pier to check out the Garden Show.

Fun on the Lazy River at Keylime Cove for a family weekend.

We took a local vacation to get out of the city and enjoy a indoor water park since this winter has been so brutal and is never-ending. We went to Keylime Cove in Gurnee for 2 nights and Ava had a blast. We enjoyed the water park and ran around the hotel plus we played lots of games and won lots of toys in the different crane games. Saturday afternoon we went to Jump America so Ava could jump on the trampolines. We had to break the rules since the jumping was for kids 3+ but we got away with it for about a half hour and Ava had a blast. Fun weekend and more great memories for the Jacobs Family….

Ava had a great month and it momma kept her so busy with a trip each and every day. Here are a couple pics of fun at at the house towards the end of the month and Ava is 19 months old.

Ava is proud of every new thing she learns. Watch her stand at attention each time she stands and balances the toy. Also notice her hands behind her back each time she does it.

Ava loves copying what we do from coughing to rubbing our noses. She started copying Christine yawning and now she is our little actress and does a good job fake yawning when asked.

It’s happened…Chicago finally had pleasant weather today. We took full advantage. It has been a long, cold and wet winter. Come on Spring!

Today’s Valentine’s Day. Ava and I went to the Emerald City Theatre to watch the Teddy Bear’s Picnic. She went right up to the bear and kissed it! This one is it shy! She kept trying to interact with the bear, so I had to hold her back. She makes me laugh!

Ava and I jumped on the Blue Line train to the Chicago Cultural Center. They played live African music and had a dancer moving to the beats. The venue was breathe taking and the music was right up our alley!
