Big Texan! Welcome to Texas! 🤠 We pulled off Route 66 in Amarillo for a stop at the Big Texan Steak Ranch, home of the famous free 72oz steak challenge.

The girls climbed up into the giant rocking chair under the “FREE 72oz. Steak” sign, tried on cowboy hats and checked out the Big Texan barrels out front. Inside, we sat down to a Texas-sized meal with fried appetizers served in cowboy-hat baskets and the huge souvenir cups. We stuck to the appetizers rather than taking on the 72oz challenge! 🥩

The kids had a blast soaking in all the Texas kitsch, from the giant hats to the Western decor. A perfect, ridiculous little road trip pit stop. 🌵
