In Lake Tahoe we saddled up for a horseback trail ride through the pines. The girls, natural little equestrians, sat tall on their horses as we wound through the forest and splashed across a shallow creek. Christine looked right at home in the saddle too. Riding beneath those towering Tahoe pines together was a peaceful, storybook kind of afternoon.
